

We finished the trip with a visit to friends, family, and Mike’s sister Sabina in Croatia traveling from Zagreb to Dubrovnik and Brela, interjecting a memorable time in Bosnia. Late summer and fall we took a Grand Circle River cruise from Amsterdam to Vienna, stopping at every German and Austrian picture postcard village on the Rhine, Main, canals, and the Danube. We began our journey in the spring with a big ship cruise around the Iberian Peninsula, visiting ports in Spain and Portugal with a final stop in England and a brief visit to Stonehenge. Besides an incredible academic record, she was first chair cello in the high school orchestra, and will be attending Colorado School of Mines next fall, majoring in mechanical and electrical engineering. Granddaughter Heidi is a graduating senior at Arapahoe High in Centennial, Colorado. Sydney is a student at the University of Vienna majoring in linguistics. Novi Put Staff, with leader Ada Pehlic, is amazing, skilled and dedicated. The project is being executed by non-profit Novi Put and it has received a great deal of interest from media there. It was kicked off in September by Felicia, Mike, six more Colorado Rotarians and spouses, and members of the Mostar Rotary club in Mostar, Bosnia. Eleven Rotary clubs, a Rotary district, and Rotary International funded the grant. Private equity consultant Ted and 13 year old son Max will join us for Christmas traveling from the east coast.Felicia and Mike championed a major grant with Rotary to encourage Bosnian rural girls to stay in school, learn to avoid human trafficking, and to provide literacy training for Roma girls. Tanya is still a Montessori teacher, Wilfried’s accounting practice is flourishing, Mariana and Todd are well employed in the Denver area. Felicia continued writing her weekly column for the We will celebrate Christmas with family in Denver. Grandson Nikolaus attends college in Denver and manages the Amazon sales.
